2025 Driving K-12 Innovation
Friday May 2, 2025 11:20am - 12:10pm EDT
Through the Driving K-12 Innovation series, CoSN continues its commitment to sharing high-quality trend reports that support the use of emerging technology in K-12 education to transform learning. In this initiative, a global advisory board of K-12 leaders, practitioners, and changemakers engages in discourse about the major themes driving, hindering, and enabling teaching and learning innovation at schools.

This work is divided into three steps: an initial survey to select the topics for discussion; discussion; and a concluding survey to capture the final thoughts from advisory board members and discern the top topics to feature in each publication.

Beyond the Ticket: Building Relationships in EdTech Support
Friday May 2, 2025 11:20am - 12:10pm EDT
Want to build a tech team that's known for its awesome customer service? This interactive session is designed for edtech leaders who are ready to take their support to the next level. We'll dive into practical strategies for building strong relationships with your school community. We'll talk about writing job postings that attract people who actually like helping others, and how to share your department's customer service wins. Plus, we'll cover how to get those postings in front of the right people. Get ready for some real-world tips on in-person support – think active listening, handling teacher vents (we've all been there!), and maybe even a little skit. Help desk tickets driving you crazy? We'll share secrets for keeping clear notes and making small talk that actually matters. We'll also explore how to really get to know your "customers" (teachers, staff, students) so you can be their tech champion, especially when it comes to funding. Finally, we'll discuss how YOU as a leader can build a culture of customer service – from shouting out the good stuff to weaving it into your mission statement. Join us for some fun, practical advice and leave ready to transform your tech department into a customer service rockstar!
